Adding a Family Crest or Coat of Arms
to your Title Page

You can add a crest to your title page by importing a JPEG image of the crest on the Title Page Layout screen in Ancestral Author. Click here to see a sample of this screen. The image will be centered in the middle third of the page, and, if necessary, shrunk to fit in the available space.

JPEG images can be obtained in a number of ways.

• You can scan it in from an image in a book. Be sure not to violate copyright laws, and make sure you save the file in JPEG format.
• You can buy a high quality JPEG image of your family crest or coat of arms at any of the websites displayed on the right, or
• Download a free, smaller image.
