Some genealogy programs generate GEDCOM files that use non-standard constructs. One such misuse causes text to run together, especially in the NOTES section for an individual. This can be circumvented by setting the 'CONC' tag processing option in Ancestral Author. Push the 'OPTIONS' button on the introductory screen, select the GEDCOM tab, and check the box, as shown in the screen shot below. This should eliminate the problem.
